“You Are Gods, but are Very Young Gods.”

“Yes, you are gods, but you are very young gods.”

Taken from “A Course in Miracles”, Jesus teaches,  “You are not made of flesh and blood and bone, but were created by the self-same Thought which gave the gift of light. [When the Self Who] is the Son of God who was always wholly spirit, no longer sees himself as a body, or even as in a body, he is limitless. And being limitless, his thoughts are joined with God’s forever and ever; his perception of himself is based upon God’s Judgment, not his own……

You are a miracle, capable of creating in the likeness of your Creator.

The problem that is bothering you most is the fundamental question which man continually asks of HIMSELF, but which CANNOT PROPERLY BE DIRECTED TO HIMSELF at all. He keeps on asking “HIMSELF” what he is. This implies that the answer is not only one which HE knows, but one which IS UP TO HIM. … We have frequently commented on the absolute necessity of correcting all fallacious thinking which associates man in any way with his own Creation.

Man CANNOT perceive himself correctly. He has no image at all.

The word “image” is always perception related, and is not a product of knowing. Images are symbolic, and stand for something else. The current emphasis on “changing your image” is a good description of the power of perception, but it implies that there is nothing to KNOW. Prayer is the medium of miracles, not because God created perceptions, but because God created YOU.

Thus, the created You, does share God’s Will, and bring His, God’s thoughts to still deluded minds. He is forever one, because he is as God created him. He has accepted Christ, and he is saved.

Thus does the son of man become the Son of God. It is not really a change; it is a change of mind. Nothing external alters, but everything internal now reflects only the Love of God.”

LLResearch.org  “Book of Days” states, “You shall meet someone whose name you think you know, and you shall gaze upon the flesh, opaque and mortal, that is the prison of the incarnate soul.

Know as you meet friends, acquaintances or strangers that the name of the body, the personality and the mind which is used to live a life is not truly the deepest name, but that the deepest name of each is Christ.

For each is Christ. Each eye that meets yours is that of God in flesh. All beings are heirs together in eventual realization of Christ-hood. “

In the “Urantia Papers-1:0.”, celestial beings tell us, “The transcendent goal of the children of time is to find the eternal God, to comprehend the divine nature, to recognize the Universal Father.

God-knowing creatures have only one supreme ambition, just one consuming desire, and that is to become, as they are in their spheres, like him as he is in his Paradise perfection of personality and in his universal sphere of righteous supremacy.  From the Universal Father who inhabits eternity there has gone forth the supreme mandate, “Be you perfect, even as I am perfect.”

This magnificent and universal injunction to strive for the attainment of the perfection of divinity is the first duty, and should be the highest ambition, of all the struggling creature creation of the God of perfection. This possibility of the attainment of divine perfection is the final and certain destiny of all man’s eternal spiritual progress.

Urantia (earth) mortals can hardly hope to be perfect in the infinite sense, but it is entirely possible for human beings, starting out as they do on this planet, to attain the supernal and divine goal which the infinite God has set for mortal man; and when they do achieve this destiny, they will, in all that pertains to self-realization and mind attainment, be just as replete in their sphere [existence] of divine perfection as God himself is in his sphere [existence] of infinity and eternity.

Such perfection may not be universal in the material sense, unlimited in intellectual grasp, or final in spiritual experience, but it is final and complete in all finite aspects of divinity of will, perfection of personality motivation, and God-consciousness.

This is the true meaning of that divine command, “Be you perfect, even as I am perfect,” which ever urges mortal man onward and beckons him inward in that long and fascinating struggle for the attainment of higher and higher levels of spiritual values and true universe meanings.  This sublime search for the God of universes is the supreme adventure of the inhabitants of all the worlds of time and space.”

Taken from ACIM manual Jesus says, “Remember that no one is where he is by accident, and chance plays no part in God’s plan.”
