Taken from “A Course in Miracles”, we are told; you are NOT asked to make insane decisions, although you are free to THINK you are. But it MUST be insane to believe IT IS UP TO YOU to decide what God’s Creations ARE.
The power of decision is your one remaining freedom as a prisoner of this world. YOU CAN DECIDE TO SEE IT RIGHT. What you MADE of it is NOT its reality, for its reality is only what you GAVE it. You cannot REALLY give anything BUT love to anyone or anything, nor can you really receive anything else FROM them. If you think you have received anything ELSE, it is because you have looked within and thought you saw the power to GIVE something else WITHIN YOURSELF. It was only THIS decision that determined what you found, for it was the decision OF WHAT YOU SOUGHT.
As you decide so will you see. And all that you see but witnesses to your decision.
… to DENY is the decision NOT to know.
The power of decision is all that is yours. What you can decide BETWEEN is fixed, because there are no alternatives, EXCEPT truth and illusion. And there is no overlap between them, because they are opposites which CANNOT be reconciled, and CANNOT both be true.
The lesson from this teaching indicates that the power of decision is a precious gift that remains with you, even in the midst of life’s challenges. You have the freedom to choose how you perceive the world around you. What you perceive is not the ultimate reality, but rather a reflection of the meaning you assign to it. Love is the only true gift you can give to others, and it is the only gift that truly nourishes your soul in return. If you ever feel like you have received anything other than love, it is because you have projected your own inner conflicts onto the world.
Your perceptions are shaped by the decisions you make. Everything you see is a reflection of the choices you have made. To deny is to choose ignorance, to turn away from the truth that is always available to you.
Remember, the power of decision lies solely in your hands. The choices you make are between truth and illusion, and there is no middle ground between them. They are like two separate paths that cannot be merged, as they represent opposing realities. Trust in your power to choose wisely and let love guide your decisions towards the truth.
