Course Mind Training To Awaken to World is Illusion, Reality is the Spirit
Like the text for which the mind training workbook was written, the ideas which are used for the exercises are very simple, very clear and totally unambiguous. We are not concerned with intellectual feats nor logical toys. We are dealing only in the very obvious, which has been overlooked in the clouds of complexity in which you think you think.
The purpose of these exercises is to train the mind to a different perception of everything in the world. The workbook is divided into two sections, the first dealing with the undoing of what you see now, and the second with the restoration of sight.
The lessons need no preparation. They are numbered, running from 1 to 365. The training period is one year. Do not undertake more than one exercise a day.
It is recommended that each exercise be repeated several times a day, preferably in a different place each time, and if possible in every situation in which you spend any long period of time.
The purpose is to train the mind to generalize the lessons, so that you will understand that each of them is as applicable to one situation as it is to another.”
You will begin with lessons that will introduce thinking exercises for a different way of perceiving our world. The following is a sampling.
Lesson 1 – “Nothing I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place] means anything.”
Lesson 2 – “I have given everything I see in this room[on this street, from this window, in this place] all the meaning that it has for me.”
Lesson 3 – “I do not understand anything I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place].”
Lesson 4 – “These thoughts do not mean anything. They are like the things I see in this room [on this street, from this window, in this place].”
Lesson 5 – “I am never upset for the reason I think.”
Remember lessons are based on the teachings. The teachings will give the lessons an easier understanding. Most of the teachings are provided online on websites and in books, but the lessons are provided as independent self study.
