Eternal Life of the Soul a Profound Enlightening Lesson

One great lesson we can learn is the “truth” that the soul has eternal life.

It is a belief that has been passed down through generations, shaping our understanding of the world and our place in it. However, true certainty and conviction in this belief only come when we delve deep within ourselves and awaken to the eternal essence that resides within us.

Despite our professed faith in the immortality of the soul, it is often in moments of loss and grief that the depth of our conviction is truly tested. We may find ourselves consumed by sorrow and despair, questioning the very nature of existence and the purpose of life itself. It is in these moments of darkness that we are faced with the stark reality of our beliefs and the strength of our faith.

Actions and Reactions in Times of Sorrow Reveal Belief

Many may claim unwavering certainty in the eternal life of the soul, yet their actions and reactions in times of sorrow reveal a different truth. The outward display of mourning and grief, the cries of anguish and the desperate pleas to a higher power, all betray a deep-seated fear and uncertainty that lies beneath the surface.

But it is in these moments of vulnerability and doubt that we have the opportunity to truly awaken to the eternal nature of our souls. It is a journey of self-discovery and introspection, a process of shedding the illusions of mortality and embracing the timeless essence that defines our true being.

Teachings on death provided here are given to expand understanding of the concept that our soul is the essence of our being, immortal and eternal, and that our physical body is merely a vessel for our true self to express itself. Embracing this concept is to unlock a profound understanding of our existence. We are timeless beings, existing in eternity at this very moment, and realize that nothing can truly annihilate our soul.  Taken from “Nuggets of the New Thought ” by William Walter Atkinson
